TalkBox Donates Equity to Entrepreneurship Non-Profit

Privacy booth startup donates one percent equity to Venture for America.

Boulder, United States - March 7, 2018 /PressCable/ —

TalkBox, an office privacy booth startup based in Boulder, CO, announced today it has donated one percent equity to entrepreneurship program Venture for America.

Venture for America is a two-year fellowship program for recent grads who want to work at a startup and create jobs in American cities. Fellows learn important startup skills at a five-week Training Camp, apply for jobs within a vetted company network, and work for two years as full-time, salaried employees in a city with an emerging entrepreneurial ecosystem. When Fellows are ready to start a company—be it two years after college or ten—VFA has the resources to help make that dream a reality.

John Ruder, President of TalkBox, said, “Entrepreneurs are the driving force in what makes capitalism great: solving problems through innovation, creating wealth, and raising living standards for all. Venture for America is on a mission to grow the number of entrepreneurs who create so much benefit to society and the world. As we looked for a worthy cause to share in TalkBox’s success, Venture for America was an obvious choice. Investing in entrepreneurialism creates multiples on returns, as those entrepreneurs go out and change the world.”

“Strong partnerships with startups are the lifeblood of our program and help us to achieve our mission of mobilizing the next generation of diverse entrepreneurs who are set to solve the country’s most pressing problems. We are inspired by the motivation behind this donation and hope others follow Talkbox’s lead,” said Venture for America CEO, Amy Nelson.

TalkBox General Manager Nick Politte added, “VFA is training the CEOs of the future. Entrepreneurs and their ideas are such an important part of our changing world, and we wanted to show our support. We hope other startups are inspired to do the same.”
